About Dr. Kristen Wynns

I am a child psychologist with a private practice in Cary, NC.  (WynnsFamilyPsychology.com).  I recently founded a parenting website called NoWimpyParenting.com.  I received my Ph.D. and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from UNC-Greensboro.  I am passionate about my work with children and teenagers and love what I do.  I feel like I am truly blessed to have a job where I can help families feel better, get along better, and have more meaningful lives.  I love being presented with a complex testing case or a new client who has several confusing issues going on and being able to help them put the pieces of the puzzle together.  I wanted to start this blog to have as a resource for current clients, future clients, or anyone who wants to learn more about marriage and parenting.  I chose those two topics to focus on because those are the areas in which I’ve gained expertise through the years working with kids, teens, couples, and families.  Oh, and I’ve been married for 13 years and have two little ones, so I’m also inspired for blog posts because of  what happens in my own life.  I’m right here in the trenches with you guys!
